All Things D.

2 things:

1. Your USD10K Table where you are going to put your coffee mug on it, and probably tell you how hot in both Celcius and Fehrenheit.

2. Steve vs Bill.

Ah, the world….. :/ .

In CES2006, Bill was describing how the future would be. How probably people will be using technology, and bringing information on the go. The Microsoft Surface was showcased then. It wasn’t even a working prototype.

Almost 2 years after that, you are a couple of thousand miles away and a whooping USD10k away from owning one.

Let me think.

5 ways of using Microsoft Surface:

1. Put your books on the table…. Hello, isn’t that what tables are for?

2. Get an ass reading if you sit on it.

3. Home version of Wheel of fortune. Spinning the wheel with your finger. – Probably get sued because, click wheel has been patented by apple? Hrmm…

4. Put an iPhone on the table and crash the system?

5. Zoom in porn using the pinching the edge of the window. Tactile feedback added stimulation.

After said and done, I reckon this is kinda exciting to move ahead. Minority Report Now!

Though I must highlight. The video on Gizmondo, the portion where Bill Gates demoed a “Wi Fi” camera transfer the photos by placing the camera on the surface. Now, that does not make sense. I would prefer proximity sensor or that sorta ways to transfer my photos. I mean, if I am in range, keep my photos updated? Uh, high techish lame.

Waiting for the interview session between Bill and Steve. That would be interesting.

“Hi I am a Mac”, “Hi I am a PC” For REAL! :) .

Purchasing music online in Malaysia

American Idol season 6 finally came to an end. Makes me wonder what to watch on my Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

I got hit by the American Idol craze. I thought Jordin’s final performance on the Idol song was fantastic and while watching the show, they mention that we can download the performances online.

So, here I am logging on to Fox’s official Idol page. Sure enough these songs were available. Full length Studio recording for download.

Okay, so along the season, I thought some of their cover songs were quite nice. Especially the the original beatboxing Blake with You Give Love A Bad Name.

They have a couple of MP3 bundles of Jordin’s and Blake’s performances for USD$3.99. The single tracks cost USD$0.99. I figured, hack, I should just purchase it.

I registered, add them into my shopping cart. Check out with my credit card details only to have a couple of my selection removed due to country restrictions.

Sigh….

Anyhow, I manage to purchase the Idol Song for some reason, and I am currently downloading it as I speak. USD$0.99. MP3 encoded in 320Kbps. I think it is DRM-less.

Here is the receipt of my purchase.

If you are like me, I use itunes to manage my music collection. I’ve been trying to register an account with the itunes music store without any success due to the fact that we are geographically not supported.

Carrie Underwood version of I’ll stand by you was brilliant. Damn the itunes store – I can’t seem to spend my USD$0.99 1.39 for it.

Trusty old bitorrent. Gives an additional reason why people still steal music. Gives an additional reason why the record label losses the couple of dollars from my pocket.

Oh, btw… not helping to as our brilliant “Best effort” ISP wouldn’t allow me to access itunes music store. Intermittently. Brilliant. Just brilliant.

ps. Completed my download. USD$0.99 well spent. Cheers!

The last time I was on 2 wheels, they ain’t something what I need to use my legs to paddle with. It’s been awhile, but it was fun. Cycling around the resort.

And we race……

Moving on. Starting work again! I wished I did not take a break. Need to rush for dateline.

Some photos here from my previous client. Be true brutal to me with your comments, but please, be gentle with the couple. :)
